CorelDRAW macros for print shops

Macros turn repeated clicks into one button. These are the jobs in a print shop where they save the most time, and what to check before installing one.

Updated 18 Oct 2026
CorelDRAW macros are small VBA programs that run inside CorelDRAW and repeat steps for you. In print shops they pay off most on jobs repeated per person or per file: filling names and numbers, exporting and renaming files, laying out ID cards, nesting pieces and making size charts.

Jobs worth automating

JobBy handWhat a macro does
Names and numbers from a listType each oneFills every copy from Excel or CSV
Batch exportFile, Export per pieceExports every piece with one click
File renamingRename each fileNames files by size, part and player
ID cardsPlace each photo and nameMatches photos to names and lays out sheets
Size chartsDraw a table per orderBuilds the chart from settings
Step and repeat layoutsDuplicate and alignGrids with crop marks

Recorded vs written macros

CorelDRAW can record simple actions into a macro, which is handy for a fixed sequence such as applying a style or exporting the current page. Anything that reads a roster, loops over people or makes decisions per size needs written VBA code.

Before you install a macro

  • Check it supports your CorelDRAW version.
  • Ask whether it works offline and what happens to the licence if the internet drops.
  • Check how updates are delivered.
  • Make sure there is someone to contact for support, ideally in your language.
  • Test on a copy of a real job before using it on a live order.

Installation steps are in our guide: how to install a macro in CorelDRAW.

AJILE as an example

AJILE 2026 is a set of CorelDRAW macros for jersey and sportswear printers. It covers names and numbers from Excel, per-size fitting, shorts and sleeves, size charts, stickers, batch export by size and photo ID cards. It has its own installer, a START AJILE button, an offline key option and a built-in updater.

Questions

Are CorelDRAW macros safe?

Macros run code on your PC, so install only from sources you trust. Commercial macros are often locked so you cannot read the code, which is normal, but buy from a seller you can contact.

Do macros work in CorelDRAW Home and Student?

No. VBA macros need the full CorelDRAW Graphics Suite with Visual Basic for Applications installed.

Can I write my own macro?

Yes. CorelDRAW includes a VBA editor (Alt+F11 in many versions) and a macro recorder for simple tasks. Complex jobs such as roster-driven jerseys take real programming.
