Calicut's jersey trade
Kozhikode, still widely called Calicut, sits at the centre of Malabar's football culture. Searches like 'jersey factory calicut' show up in Google's own suggestions, a sign of how many people look for jersey makers here. Shops serve sevens clubs from Kozhikode and Malappuram districts, Gulf-returned groups and school teams.
During sevens season a shop can receive several club orders in one evening, each with 15 to 25 players and a match a few days away. AJILE lets the designer run each roster as it arrives, so the press is never waiting for artwork.

The sevens calendar
Sevens football tournaments run mostly from November to May, before the monsoon. Cricket and volleyball add orders through the year, and school meets peak in the winter months.
Tip for sevens season rush
During sevens season, take rosters only as Excel or a typed list, never as a voice note. Ask clubs to include the size in the same row as the name and number. With clean rosters, a Kozhikode shop can turn several club orders around in one evening, because the designer runs each list straight away instead of decoding messages.
