A jersey roster needs one row per player with four columns: serial number, print name, number and size. Paste a team list below to clean it into that format, check for duplicate numbers, and download it as a CSV for Excel, or copy it in the line format AJILE takes (name, number, size, with the size last).
The template columns
| Column | What to put in it | Example |
|---|---|---|
| SNO | Running serial number; also used to match photos for ID cards. Leave it out when you paste into AJILE's jersey tool | 1, 2, 3 |
| NAME | Exactly what prints on the back | PRAVEEN |
| NUMBER | Digits only; check for duplicates | 23 |
| SIZE | The size labels from your size chart | XL, 30, YS |
Rules to send teams
- One player per row. No merged cells.
- Write the name exactly as it should print, including initials.
- Use only the sizes on your size chart.
- No two players with the same number, unless the league allows it.
- Send the file, not a photo of a printed list.
Questions
Which columns does a jersey roster need?
At minimum: serial number, name to print, number and size. Add columns for shorts size, sleeve type or a second name line if your kits use them.
Should names be in capitals?
Type them exactly as they should print. If the design uses capitals, the font or template can force upper case.
Can I use Google Sheets?
Yes. Make a copy, fill it in, then use File, Download, Microsoft Excel or CSV.
